When you report a problem, tell us what you did, what you expected and what happened instead. A screenshot helps. Never send us your password or a passphrase for a locked note: we will never ask for them.
Your account
I can't sign in
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password? to reset your password by email. If you signed up with Google, choose Continue with Google. If you set up two-step sign-in and lost your authenticator, email us from your account's address.
Sign out of other devices
Settings → Security → Signed-in devices lists where your account is signed in. Sign one out, or sign out everywhere.
Change your name or password
Settings → Account changes your name; Settings → Password changes your password.
ChatGPT and Claude
Notii works inside ChatGPT and Claude: they can search and read your notes, make and edit notes, add tasks and reminders, use your calendar and more, and show the results as Notii cards in the chat.
Connect
- ChatGPT: Notii is in ChatGPT's plugin directory. Open Notii in ChatGPT (or search for Notii in ChatGPT's Plugins) and choose Install plugin, then Connect. A Notii page opens: check it's your account and choose Allow.
- Claude: add Notii's marketplace (
pixelworship/notii-claude-plugin) under Customize → Plugins → Add → Add marketplace, add Notii, then connect it and choose Allow. Step by step, including Claude Code.
Disconnect
Settings → Connected apps lists every app with access to your notes. Choose Disconnect and it can't reach your account any more. You can also remove Notii in ChatGPT's or Claude's settings.
What the AI app can do
A connected app reaches your notes only through Notii's tools, while you're using it, and acts with your access: it can search and read notes, make and change notes, add tasks and reminders, use your calendar, set up rules, and share or move notes to the Trash. What it reads goes to that app's company (OpenAI or Anthropic) to answer you. See the privacy policy.
Export and delete your data
Export everything
Settings → Export and backups → Export makes a zip of all your notes as Markdown, a folder per notebook with each note's files, to download (we email you when it's ready). A single note exports from its ⋯ → Export… menu. Turn on Back up every week for a fresh export every Sunday.
Deleted a note by mistake?
Deleted notes go to the Trash and stay there until you empty it: open one and choose Restore. Notes also keep their recent history: ⋯ → Note history.
Delete your account
Settings → Delete account deletes your account and everything in it for good. If you can't sign in, email matt@mourlam.com from your account's address and we'll do it for you.
Limits and the AI
Every feature of Notii is free. To keep it that way for everyone there are fair-use limits: 100 AI requests a day per account (they reset at midnight UTC), 1 GB of uploads a month, files up to 25 MB (recordings up to 200 MB) and 100,000 notes.
The AI can make mistakes. Check what it writes, especially anything important.
